If following Jesus involves a life of sacrifice and suffering, is it wrong for a Christian to seek purpose and joy in this world?
Many Christians sense a tension between their desire to enjoy life in this world—the beauty of God’s creation, the rich love of deep relationships with others—and the reality that this world is fallen and broken, in need of redemption. How can we embrace and thrive in the tension between enjoying creation and promoting redemption? By living out our God-given purpose.
As “worldly saints,” created in the image of God, we are natural creatures with a supernatural purpose—to know and love God. Because we live in a world that is stained by the curse of sin, we must learn to embrace our nature as creatures created in the image of God while recognizing our desperate need for the grace that God offers to us in the gospel.
Writing in a devotional style that is theologically rich, biblically accurate, and aimed at ordinary readers, Mike Wittmer helps readers understand who they are, why they are here, and the importance of the story they tell themselves. In Becoming Worldly Saints, he gives an integrated vision that shows how we can be heavenly minded in a way that leads to earthly good, empowering believers to seize the abundant life God has for them.

Join Hermie in this double-dose of fun as the garden bugs learn that the rules weren’t just made to be broken!
In Buzby, the Misbehaving Bee, the garden is all abuzz thanks to its newest resident: Buzby, the self-proclaimed “king of bees,” who refuses to follow any of the Garden Golden Rules. Soon Buzby has managed to bug every citizen of the garden—and Hermie and his pals don’t know what to do. But through an unexpected act of kindness (not to mention some intervention from the real King of the garden), Buzby finally learns that nobody is too cool for the rules—and that rules are actually pretty helpful!
In Buzby and the Grumblebees, newly reformed rule-follower Buzby receives a visit from his niece Beebee and his nephew Buddy. But the two little bees are full of bad behavior, and Buzby enlists the help of Hermie and his friends to show the kids all kinds of bugs behaving badly. And the two quickly see how uncomfortable things become for everyone when bugs don’t get enough sleep or clean up after themselves. Soon Beebee and Buddy decide that behaving in the hive is the only way to fly!
Featuring the voice talents of Tim Conway, Don Knotts, Vickie Lawrence, and Melissa Disney, these stories will keep kids and parents rolling with laughter and learning in love.

Our hearts as women were made by God for relationships. Why is it, then, that the thing we most deeply desire—relationships—becomes the source of so much pain? Difficult marriages, the loneliness of being single, problem children, abusive employers, fractured friendships...life's realities are often very different from the dreams we dreamed for ourselves as girls. How do we live with this beautiful ache for relationships in a world that doesn't always work? When we've been betrayed, how do we trust again? When we've been disappointed, how do we hope again? When we've been terribly hurt, how do we love again? In this honest, intimate, and transformative book, counselor Sharon Hersh helps you gain a new, truly biblical perspective on relationships that can help you endure the heartaches and still come up living wholeheartedly, loving with abandon, and daring to hope and believe. The stories of the women in this book, including that of the author, are signposts that point you beyond the sometimes devastating problems of life to the deep, rich reason and root of all relationships, both good and bad: God's desire for relationship with you. In Sharon's words, “Relationships are not the destination—they are the path to something more.”

Charles Colson has been called, 'one of the most important social reformers in a generation.' Ten years ago in The Body, Colson turned his prophetic attention to the church and how it might break out of its cultural captivity and reassert its biblical identity.
Today the book's classic truths have not changed. But the world we live in has. Christians in America have had their complacency shattered and their beliefs challenged. Around the world, the clash of world views has never been more strident. Before all of us, daily, are the realities of life and death, terror and hope, light and darkness, brokenness and healing. We cannot withdraw to the comfort of our sanctuaries...we must engage. For, if ever there was a time for Christians to be the Body of Christ in the world, it is now.
In this new, revised and expanded edition of The Body, Charles Colson revisits the question, 'What is the church and what is its relevance to contemporary culture at large?' Provocative and insightful, Being the Body inspires us to rise above a stunted 'Jesus and me' faith to a nobler view of something bigger and grander than ourselves--the glorious, holy vision for which God created the church.

Are you truly willing to risk everything?
In Believing Jesus, Bible teacher and author Lisa Harper retraces the steps of the apostles in the book of Acts, while throwing in a few of her own crazy adventures along the way. The disciples didn’t have much of a road map after Jesus ascended to heaven, but God’s grace and spirit filled in the gaps as they moved forward. It required their willingness to risk everything to establish a new community that would change the future world.
As a regular speaker on the Women of Faith® tour, Lisa has earned a reputation as a true theological scholar and hilarious storyteller—not necessarily in that order! Best-selling author and pastor Max Lucado calls Lisa one of the “best Bible tour guides around.”
Believing Jesus will highlight both of Lisa’s strengths as she tackles every chapter of the Book of Acts with biblical wisdom and modern wit. Lisa keeps it real, telling stories on herself and pointing readers back to Jesus, the only one who can truly lead.

What does it mean to believe Jesus? Not just believe in Jesus, but actually believe what He said—and shape our lives around that truth? How would that affect the choices we make? The way we see the world? The way we conduct ourselves with other Christians?
In Believing Jesus, Lisa Harper answers these questions by looking at the lives of the believers in Acts and how Jesus’ command to spread the gospel forever shaped their lives. You will hear how Peter turned tables on his Benedict-Arnold behavior and became a church-building saint when the power of the Holy Spirit came over him. How the first believers were so gifted at giving they made Santa look bush league. How it cost Stephen and other early believers their very lives to follow Christ. And how Paul’s case proves God’s grace can change the worst of sinners, making us willing to have our lives interrupted by God and boldly share the gospel to the world.
Today, we are faced with the same decisions the early church faced. Will we, like them, truly believe the words of Jesus and allow them to transform every part of our lives?
This DVD is designed for use with the Believing Jesus Study Guide (sold separately).

Pastor Jamin Goggin and theology professor Kyle Strobel provide a path to abiding with God.
We were formed from the dust, but we were made for life with God. We often accept less. We make promises and set goals to try and grow, but holiness seems impossible. But the Christian life is not about looking or feeling like a Christian. It’s about abiding in God.
If communion with God is your goal, self-help strategies and personal resolutions will fail you. But Jesus Christ will not.
Drawing deeply from Scripture and narrating their own experiences, Pastor Jamin Goggin and theology professor Kyle Strobel wrote this book to be a companion for your journey with Jesus in the truth of yourself – as his beloved dust. This is not weighing tasks and rewards, but is a process of patience, prayer, and openheartedness.
Prayerfully read this book. Prepare your heart for the gifts God has for you. Beloved Dust invites readers to discover the fundamental simplicity and radical transformation of being with God.
'Beloved Dust is an intelligent vision for life with God through prayer, and many of its rich images have stayed with me long after I put down the pages.' - Shauna Niequist, author of Bread & Wine
“In BELOVED DUST, Kyle and Jamin tell us the truth about who we are and why we're here in a way that will draw you closer to God. Here is great wisdom on spiritual growth and friendship with God; written by two people whose friendship for each is evident—and who will become your friends before the end of the book.” - John Ortberg, author of Soul Keeping
'This is a important look at the most important aspect of life—what a genuine relationship with God really looks like. Jamin Goggin and Kyle Strobel address our expectations and frustrations about spiritual growth in a hopeful, empowering way. Beloved Dust strikes the rare balance of being rich and deep while remaining practical and engaging. This book delivers on what it means, and doesn’t mean, to grow in a relationship with God.” - Jud Wilhite, author of Pursued, sr. pastor of Central Christian Church
In a culture of pop Christianity that serves a fast food gospel for consumers wanting drive-by spirituality, Goggin and Strobel defy expectations. Their book leads the reader on a slow, inward journey to discover the deeper hunger in their souls--a hunger for God himself. It is a beautiful and gracious exploration of prayer that everyone seeking a truer, deeper, and more authentic life with Christ should read. This book will draw you into a richer communion with God as it did for me, and that is the highest compliment I can possibly offer. -Skye Jethani, author of WITH and FUTUREVILLE.
'This book in your hands will remind you to stop, to revel in God’s fatherly presence, and to just be. That God is God and you are you, and that you are his, and that our dustiness is a beautiful thing. I am thankful for Jamin and Kyle’s gift to us within these pages.' -Tsh Oxenreider, author of Notes From a Blue Bike: The Art of Living Intentionally in a Chaotic World

Ranger Kade Matthews steps in to help, winning Bree’s friendship and making real headway with her son, Davy. But there’s still a killer somewhere in Rock Harbor. It will take everything Bree and Samson can do to protect her family from the danger lurking outside the lighthouse door.
“A heart-warming romance [with] plot twists that will keep you guessing.” —Tamera Alexander, USA Today Best-Selling Author

In Beyond Championships Teen Edition, Coach Dru Joyce lays out the steps teens can follow to become winners on and off the court. Much more than a sports book, Beyond Championships Teen Edition is a blueprint for anyone looking to make better choices and reach their full potential. The book speaks to athletes aspiring to emulate LeBron’s success, as well as anyone who feels either uninspired or unable to change the direction of their lives.
In less than ten years, Coach Dru went from someone resigned to a dull-yet-stable existence to one of the highest profile basketball coaches in the country, despite having virtually no background in the sport. It was an incredible transformation, the type most people only dream of, but one Coach Dru proved can become a reality with the right combination of faith and hard work.
Beyond Championships Teen Edition focuses on the nine principles Coach Dru promotes to his players and tries to live his own life. While these principles act as the foundation on which Coach Dru has built so many successful basketball teams, their universality ensures that they can be applied to any situation.

What makes the difference? Maxwell, the go-to guru for business professionals across the globe, insists that the choices people make―not merely the skills they inherit―propel them to greatness. Among other truths, successful people know that:
It's what you add to your talent that makes the greatest difference. With authentic examples and time-tested wisdom, Maxwell shares thirteen attributes you need to maximize your potential and live the life of your dreams.

The hope-filled sequel to the bestselling One Tuesday Morning In this new novel by Karen Kingsbury, three years have passed since the terrorist attacks on New York City. Jamie Bryan, widow of a firefighter who lost his life on that terrible day, has found meaning in her season of loss by volunteering at St. Paul’s, the memorial chapel across the street from where the Twin Towers once stood. Here she meets a daily stream of people touched by the tragedy, including two men with whom she feels a connection. One is a firefighter also changed by the attacks, the other a police officer from Los Angeles. But as Jamie gets to know the police officer, she is stunned to find out that he is the brother of Eric Michaels, the man with the uncanny resemblance to Jamie’s husband, the man who lived with her for three months after September 11. Eric is the man she has vowed never to see again. Certain she could not share even a friendship with his brother, Jamie shuts out the police officer and delves deeper into her work at St. Paul’s. Now it will take the persistence of a tenacious man, the questions from her curious young daughter, and the words from her dead husband’s journal to move Jamie beyond one Tuesday morning. “Jamie Bryan took her position at the far end of the Staten Island Ferry, pressed her body against the railing, eyes on the place where the Twin Towers once stood. She could face it now, every day if she had to. The terrorist attacks had happened, the World Trade Center had collapsed, and the only man she’d ever loved had gone down with them. Late fall was warmer than usual, and the breeze across the water washed over Jamie’s face. If she could do this, if she could make this journey three times a week while Sierra was in school, then she could convince herself to get through another long, dark night. She could face the empty place in the bed beside her, face the longing for the man who had been her best friend, the one she’d fallen for when she was only a girl.”
