Stop Living Your Life Under, Over, From and For God and Start Living in Communion With Him.
Endorsements:
If we've grown weary of Christianity, if we find most any local church uninspiring, maybe the problem lies not in the Christian faith or these faithful bodies, but in our own disgruntled hearts. In With, Syke Jethani tenderly unmasks the clichéd posturing that too often masquerades as genuine communion with Christ. More importantly, he takes readers to the humble place they must occupy?in prayer, studying Scripture, with the Church?if faith, hope, and love are to truly mark our lives. -James H. Gilmore, author, The Experience Economy
Made of the stuff of spiritual classics and presented in simple, contemporary terms, Skye Jethani does each of us a great service in calling us to reimagine the way we relate to God. We so readily fall prey to living out distortions and reductions to our Christian faith?with disastrous consequences. You and I are far more than sinners, consumers, managers, and servants. We are dearly loved by God and made for eternal communion with him. Everything looks different when we live life in response to God's love. -Paul Louis Metzger, Ph.D., Professor of Christian Theology & Theology of Culture, Multnomah Biblical Seminary and author of The Gospel of John: When Love Comes to Town
Cleverly using four prepositions—under, over, from, and for, Skye Jethani convincingly diagnoses the reigning paradigms of life?whether secular or religious—and shows how each one has captured some element of truth but in the end is deficient; Ultimately, they miss the most important thing—real communion with the living God. Thus utilizing one final preposition, With, he lays out what it really means to know and experience communion with God—a life of faith, hope and love?the very things that we all desperately want and need. This is a helpful, encouraging, and inspiring book. -Jim Belcher, author of Deep Church
It doesn’t matter, as old theologians were rumored to argue, how many angels can dance on a pinhead. But it does matter which preposition governs your faith?over, after, against, for, from, under, with. Who knew what huge worlds turn on such tiny words? Who knew what theological riches were laced into the bones of grammar? Skye has done a great service to the church. In prose elegant and clear, with insights keen and deep, he shows how everything changes with just one word: With. It’s a book I want my whole church to read. -Mark Buchanan, author of Spiritual Rhythm
Who knew that a preposition had so much influence? Skye's book will challenge the way that you think about God and faith digging deep into our motivations and heart issues. You can't read this book and not see yourself and others differently! -Margaret Feinberg, author of Scouting the Divine and Hungry for God
This book will do for our generation what J.B. Phillips, in his classic Your God is Too Small, did for his. With reveals views of God that can't satisfy and opens up the possibility for exploring a life with God that more than satisfies. -Scot McKnight, author of One.Life and The Blue Parakeet, professor of theology and biblical studies at North Park University
Since I dove into With, I can't stop thinking about it. Skye Jethani's insights will change how you think about God...and you...and how the two of you relate. -Dr. Kara E. Powell, Executive Director of the Fuller Youth Institute

She's got the rock, so when does happily ever after kick in?
At long last, Ashley Stockingdale—patent attorney, fasionista, and homeowner—can finally add 'fiancee' to her spirited resume. That means the next four months will be a dizzying and decadent waltz through aisles of Vera Wang, Kenneth Cole, Sheridan sheets, Kate Spade place settings, and Oneida flatware. Well . . . maybe not.

And now her fiance is starting to sound crazy—something about moving across country, to Philadelphia of all places. Worst of all, right before her eyes, Scarlett I-need-some-Prozac O'Hara is hijacking her wedding plans!
Life for our heroine is spinning from out of control to downright confusing. But whether she makes it to the end of the aisle or not, she'll never be at a loss for drama!

Women desire to live well. However, living well in this modern world is a challenge. The pace of life, along with the new front porch of social media, has changed the landscape of our lives. Women have been told for far too long that being on the go and accumulating more things will make their lives full. As a result, we grasp for the wrong things in life and come up empty.
God created us to walk with him; to know him and to be loved by him. He is our living well and when we drink from the water he continually provides, it will change us. Our marriages, our parenting, and our homemaking will be transformed.
Mommy-blogger Courtney Joseph is a cheerful realist. She tackles the challenge of holding onto vintage values in a modern world, starting with the keys to protecting our walk with God. No subject is off-limits as she moves on to marriage, parenting, and household management.
Rooted in the Bible, her practical approach includes tons of tips that are perfect for busy moms, including:
There is nothing more important than fostering your faith, building your marriage, training your children, and creating a haven for your family. Women Living Well is a clear and personal guide to making the most of these precious responsibilities.

Welcome to Los Angeles, the City of Angels, where traffic never stops, people never sleep, and wonders never cease.
It's a brilliant plan, if Kemp McAvoy says so himself—and Kemp never hesitates to point out his own brilliance. Kemp is a night nurse for a beautiful but aging movie star in a medically induced coma. And with the help of her agent and a struggling young publisher, he's concocted a can't-fail scheme that will make them all rich.
Olivia Hayden is about to receive a heavenly visitor—an angel with a message for all humankind. All it takes is a blinding light and little adjustment of her meds, and when she awakes she'll think it was real—and they'll have an instant best-selling book.
The scheme seems foolproof. All they have to do for it to work is be good angels and stay out of trouble. But Kemp McAvoy has never been good at staying out of trouble—and he doesn't realize there may be out-of-this-world consequences for impersonating an angel.

What will it cost to keep a promise? Of the four people at the Newpointe post office when the bomb went off, three were killed instantly. The fourth, a five-year-old boy, lies comatose in the hospital and might not survive. Who would do such a thing? The answer comes in the form of a gunman crashing through the door of the hotel room where Jill Clark is staying. With a rifle barrel pointed at her temple, the young attorney suddenly finds herself the hostage of a desperate man whose actions hardly fit his claim that he’s innocent of the bombing. Only later, when the suspect is behind bars, does Jill wonder whether he’s as guilty as he appears. 'Ryken's Worldly Saints offers a fine introduction to seventeenth-century Puritanism in its English and American contexts. The work is rich in quotations from Puritan worthies and is ideally suited to general readers who have not delved widely into Puritan literature. It will also be a source of information and inspiration to those who seek a clearer understanding of the Puritan roots of American Christianity.' -Harry Stout, Yale University '…the typical Puritans were not wild men, fierce and freaky, religious fanatics and social extremists, but sober, conscientious, and cultured citizens, persons of principle, determined and disciplined excelling in the domestic virtues, and with no obvious shortcomings save a tendency to run to words when saying anything important, whether to God or to a man. At last the record has been put straight.' -J.I. Packer, Regent College 'Worldly Saints provides a revealing treasury of primary and secondary evidence for understanding the Puritans, who they were, what they believed, and how they acted. This is a book of value and interest for scholars and students, clergy and laity alike.' -Roland Mushat Frye, University of Pennsylvania 'A very persuasive...most interesting book...stuffed with quotations from Puritan sources, almost to the point of making it a mini-anthology.' -Publishers Weekly 'With Worldly Saints, Christians of all persuasions have a tool that provides ready access to the vast treasures of Puritan thought.' -Christianity Today 'Ryken writes with a vigor and enthusiasm that makes delightful reading-never a dull moment.' -Fides et Historia 'Worldly Saints provides a valuable picture of Puritan life and values. It should be useful for general readers as well as for students of history and literature.' -Christianity and Literature

The life stage of 18-25-year-olds is completely different than it was in previous eras. In just one generation, we see contrasts that used to take two to three generations to surface. This shift has created frustration and confusion with those of older generations. Parents recognize this is a completely different world and struggle to relate the world of their child. Others throw their arms up in bewilderment, assuming they'll never understand. And many church leaders wish they'd 'just grow up.' In this book, Chuck Bomar brings understanding, comfort, and direction to all of this. You'll learn: how the development of higher education has effected much of the separation between generational worlds -the irreversible ways in which this generation has been impacted and how today's college-aged person differs from the typical thoughts and values of older generations -the differences in life pursuits that cause major tension points between generations and how to navigate those. Through profiles of college-aged people and testimonies of parents, you'll explore in-depth issues college-age people face, how they process through them, and what influences their decisions so you can effectively bring your world together with theirs.

“A worship that will have staying power is a worship that is firmly grounded in the old, yet aware of and concerned for new ways to respond to the old, old story.” In the first edition of Worship Old and New, Robert E. Webber introduced an approach to worship that blended historical and traditional practices with contemporary elements. Since then, the spreading fires of worship renewal have provided opportunity for fresh consideration. This significantly revised edition is the result of Webber’s interaction with current worship trends. It is intended to be used both in the classroom and by those who want to improve worship in the local church. Reformatted for an easier, logical approach to worship theology, this revised edition of Worship Old and New is divided into four major sections, addressing the biblical foundation of worship, its theology, its history, and its practice. New information has been incorporated into each section to give the reader a better grasp of the biblical themes of worship, a deeper understanding of Old Testament customs, and a solid grounding in modern-day renewal movements. Especially significant is a reexamination of the actual practice of worship that goes beyond the merely academic to provide a practical perspective through the eyes of the worship leader and worshipers. Well-versed in the best of both past and present, Worship Old and New is a scholarly, up-to-date, and thought-provoking resource for those serious about exploring worship.

Rory Noland addresses the challenges of Christian worship head-on, offering practical suggestions gleaned from Scripture on understanding and experiencing vibrant worship. The first half of Worship on Earth as It Is in Heaven explores what it means to grow as a private worshiper. The practices of the psalmist David provide insight to help people worship God on their own. Second, Noland discusses corporate worship by exploring the glorious gatherings in heaven, as described in the book of Revelation. He presents immediately applicable ideas for becoming a better corporate worshiper. This book includes: • Slice-of-church-life scenarios. Every chapter begins with a brief scenario that presents a worship-related issue or a conflict corresponding to the chapter topic. • Group discussion questions. Based on the opening scenario, these questions help readers think about and discuss worship-related topics from different perspectives. • Issue-by-issue practical guidance from a biblical perspective. • “Ponder and Apply” application questions. Each chapter ends with a series of discussion questions and action steps to help readers identify key insights and make personal applications.

Tucked into Abraham’s biography is the story of Hagar, a young Egyptian slave with whom Abraham had a son named Ishmael. Hagar stood out because she was wounded—not physically, but in ways that were as emotionally and spiritually painful as any injury to a body would be. Some wounds were provoked by her own bad behavior, but others were inflicted by those who considered themselves God’s people.
Anne Graham Lotz too has been wounded by God’s people. Some wounds have been deeper than others, some have come out of nowhere, and still others have been provoked by her own behavior, but all of the wounds have been deeply painful. They seemed to hurt even more when the wounders wrapped their behavior in a semblance of religion or piety.
As Hagar’s story unfolds, you will discover that wounded people often become wounders themselves. While Anne identifies with the wounded, the unpleasant reality is that she also identifies with the wounders, because she has been one, too. She knows from experience that wounding is a cycle that needs to be broken. And by God’s grace, it can be.
Many have had similar experiences. And perhaps you are among those who have been so deeply hurt that you have confused God’s imperfect people with God. Maybe you have even run away from God as a result. Or perhaps you have been a wounder to the extent that you are living in a self-imposed exile, believing you are unworthy to be restored to a warm, loving relationship with God or with God’s people. Whatever your hurts may be, Wounded by God’s People helps you to begin a healing journey—one that enables you to reclaim the joy of God’s presence and all the blessings God has for you.
God loves the wounded. And the wounders.

If someone has changed your life for the good, now is the time to celebrate by letting them know how much they matter.
Oftentimes true heroes of faith don’t stand out in the world, but they have made a lasting difference in someone’s life—they’re a hero to someone. More often than not, women tend to lose themselves in relationships, believing they have found 'The One'-- the discovery that signifies the end of loneliness. The assurance of happily every after. If this relationship is lost, all seems lost. But what happens when you meet 'The One' and he turns out to be just someone? What do you do when the love of your life becomes the heartbreak of your life?
JoAnna Harris understands. After a broken engagement, she was forced to confront the inevitable void after the break-up and truly answer the question -- Who am I without this relationship? While wading through intense heartbreak, JoAnna says, 'I discovered that the end of my relationship was not the end of me. That in Christ, I am complete and whole.'
Using her own story of heartbreak and healing, JoAnna will make you laugh and encourage you in your own journey to healing and discovery.

Throughout his life, renowned neurosurgeon Dr. Benjamin Carson has needed to overcome many obstacles: his father leaving the family; being considered stupid by his classmates in grade school; growing up in inner-city Detroit; and having a violent temper. But Dr. Carson didn't let his circumstances control him, and instead discovered eight principles that helped shape his future.
In You Have a Brain: A Teen’s Guide to Think Big, Dr. Carson unpacks the eight important parts of Thinking Big—Talent, Honesty, Insight, Being Nice, Knowledge, Books, In-Depth Learning, and God—and presents the stories of people who demonstrated those things in his life. By applying the idea of T.H.I.N.K. B.I.G. to your life, and by looking at those around you as well, you too can overcome obstacles and work toward achieving your dreams.

Jim Cymbala knows something a lot of us miss--that a comfortable, secure life won’t produce the satisfaction we long for. How could we feel fulfilled by missing out on the life God has for us? Whether life seems good or not right now, Jim Cymbala believes that God has more for you. In this new book, he’ll help you find out how to access the “more” God intends—more peace, real joy, and a deep sense of purpose. You fear you won't make it through. We all do. We fear that the depression will never lift, the yelling will never stop, the pain will never leave. In the pits, surrounded by steep walls and aching reminders, we wonder: Will this gray sky ever brighten? This load ever lighten?
In this six-session small group Bible study, pastor and New York Times best-selling author, Max Lucado offers refreshing assurance. Max reminds participants God doesn't promise that getting through trials will be quick or painless. It wasn't for Joseph—tossed in a pit by his brothers, sold into slavery, wrongfully imprisoned, forgotten and dismissed. But his Old Testament story is in the Bible for this reason: to teach us to trust God to trump evil.
With the compassion of a pastor, the heart of a storyteller, and the joy of one who has seen what God can do, Max explores the story of Joseph and the truth of Genesis 50:20. What Satan intends for evil, God redeems for good.
The six sessions include:

John Luke Robertson may be young and beardless, but he has a lot to say about growing up and discovering your purpose.
John Luke Robertson, the oldest son of Willie and Korie Robertson and brother of Dancing with the Stars sensation Sadie Robertson, shares his story of what it’s like to grow up as a Robertson and all the fun and craziness that entails, as well as what he has learned as he has stepped out into his own unique experiences. He also shares what it’s like to navigate the walk from boyhood to becoming a man. Topics in this book include friendship, kindness, dreaming big, embracing your God-given uniqueness, taking chances, and choosing mentors.
John Luke speaks frequently on dreams (how to build a dream for your life), schemes (how to plan for your dream to come true), and building teams (choosing the people around you who will become a team that helps make your dream come true through their support, honesty, and care). He will incorporate these important guidelines into the book, ultimately helping young people learn how to find and pursue a clear-cut purpose in their lives.
Teens and young adults will enjoy reading his story, and they will benefit by reading Robertson’s wisdom and perspective on how to grow up and live out your purpose. And, with the Robertsons, this book is sure to be fun!

'Let's put aside any false humility or pride,' author John Snyder says, 'and come before God with boldness, asking for the moon.' He reminds us that the Bible says we are to ask and then ask again. Over and over. Day in. Day out.
When the need is so great, so seemingly impossible that only God's direct intervention will ever bring it about, it takes a different kind of prayer. Your 100 Day Prayer is designed to take you straight to the heart and will of God by seeking him for a specific need. This book includes:
—Thomas W. Gillespie, President Emeritus, Princeton Theological Seminary, New Jersey
The concept of Your 100 Days of Prayer is inspired, and can only accomplish great things for our nation and the Kingdom of God if we'll all cooperate and implement it. The Lord is waiting to see if we have the courage and the desire. He is able.
—Pat Boone, singer, actor, producer, author, and motivational speaker
Conversing with our Father in prayer is critical to spiritual growth. In Your 100 Day Prayer, John Snyder provides very practical and diverse meditations that will most certainly enhance the reader’s prayer life and set the tone for daily living that is focused on God.
—Rick Dempsey, Sr. Vice President, The Walt Disney Studios
In today's Internet age of instant gratification, it's all too easy for Christians to 'want it now' and expect the Lord to instantly honor Matthew 7:7: 'Ask and it will be given to you . . .' John Snyder's excellent book provides a beautiful pathway to journal our 100 days of focused prayer as we are transformed in the process.
—David Pack, Saddleback Church/ Orange County, Calif. Grammy winning Recording Artist & Music Producer
In this 100 day pilgrimage, Dr. Snyder has woven four great Christian traditions together—daily scripture reading, devotional insight, prayer, and journaling. You cannot practice these disciplines faithfully and emerge unchanged. I think that you will find when the journey has ended, that God has been your guide and your destination.”—Dr. Ed Ewart, MOO Church, Mission Viejo, CA
If you already enjoy a daily, satisfying prayer life, don't read this book. But if you're looking for something to stimulate you to become more faithful and systematic, John Snyder's Your 100 Day Prayer offers you an opportunity to focus on talking to God daily and making it an ongoing habit.
—Cecil Murphey, author or co-author of more than 100 books including 90 Minutes in Heaven and Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story
John Snyder has taken a chapter out of his own life and made it available to all of us...Your 100 Day Prayer is an incredibly practical and powerful tool for any individual or family who desires to develop and strengthen their prayer life.
—Matt Kees, Director, Christian Musician Summit conferences, and Music Producer

Share the hope of Celebrate Recovery with friends and family using this special 6-copy Outreach Pack!
You’ve undoubtedly heard the expression “time heals all wounds.” Unfortunately, it isn’t true. As many pastors and counselors know, people still carry hurts from thirty or forty years ago. The truth is, time often makes things worse. Wounds that are left untended fester and spread infection throughout your entire body. Time only extends the pain if the problem isn’t dealt with.
Your First Step to Celebrate Recovery introduces you to a biblical and balanced program that has helped nearly a million people overcome their hurts, hang-ups, and habits. Based on the actual words of Jesus found in the Sermon on the Mount rather than psychological theory, the Celebrate Recovery program has helped people for over 20 years to grow toward full Christ-like maturity.
Author and founder John Baker tells the true story of how Celebrate Recovery became one of the largest Christ-centered recovery programs in history. Baker will help you discover how God’s love, truth, grace and forgiveness can bring healing into your life.

God wants His people to live without financial stress and worry.
As a Christian, you know that God wants the best for you in every facet of your life—including your finances. But do you truly believe it? You will after reading Your Money God’s Way. With simple, biblical truths taught in plain language, author and pastor Amie Streater will show you how to:
In most cases, we’re our own worst enemies, Amie says. Most of our financial stresses are self-created. We need to break free from bad habits and bad thinking and learn how to make better choices if we want to walk in financial freedom.
Presently the associate pastor of financial stewardship for the 10,000-member New Life Church in Colorado Springs, Amie’s straight-talk approach to finances and life has helped thousands of individuals and families get out of debt. As a powerful, new female voice for personal finance, Amie expertly uncovers seven “counterfeit convictions” Christians believe that often hinder their personal financial success and keep them broke. She shares practical tips, powerful insights, real-life examples, and budgeting plans so readers can recognize the lies and destructive behaviors they’ve held on to. Unlearning those behaviors will help you—whatever your situation—gain control over your spending and face a happier future of financial stability.
“Our God is the Author and Creator of order and peace. It is not God’s will for any of His children to live in chaos, frustration, lack, and debt . . . If we get our heads and hearts right, we can line ourselves up with what He is doing, and our lives will mirror what God wants for us, in us, and through us.”
