Gerald R. McDermott is Jordan-Trexler Professor of Religion at Roanoke College in Salem, VA and Distinguished Senior Fellow at the Baylor Institute for Studies of Religion. He is the author and editor of several books on the relationship between Christianity and other religions, as well as books on the 18th-century theologian Jonathan Edwards. He an Episcopal priest who serves as Teaching Pastor at St. John Lutheran Church (ELCA) Church in Roanoke, VA.
